4th April 2010

I'm currently working on various projects, that are all time consuming. One of these projects is a slide show for the Amstrad CPC. So far I've done 3 images, but I need at least 12, so as you can see I'm nowhere near the finish line. I'm also working on a larger digital drawing. Since most of my drawings are "quickies", I think my gallery need more of the time consuming pieces.
Last but not least, I'm working on a cartoon in Flash. Something I actually started working on in 2008, but then I got lazy and put it away. I recently found the flowchart for the cartoon in a drawer and picked up on the project again.

Clean up....

13th December 2009

I've spent the whole day fixing up blueangel.dk. When I first launched the new site at the end of 2007, I had used a lot of ugly browser hacks, which of course meant that the site didn't work with newer browsers. Back then I was too lazy and probably also too unexperienced to fix it, but today I finally pulled myself together and cleaned up my messy code. The browser hacks have been removed, and I've re-coded the site to the best of my current abilities.
I know that the changes I've made to this site is hard to notice unless you compare the two versions, but users of e.g. Chrome should be able to see a major improvement now.

Fading Shades is pick of the month on AGS!

9th May 2009

I've just discovered, that Fading Shades has been chosen as Pick of the Month at the AGS Games site. Considering that it was my first attempt at creating an adventure game, I never thought something like that could happen, so of course I'm very happy.
If you haven't done so already, you can download the game here. (37.1 Mb )

These past months have been spent working on Lublu Entertainment's 3rd mobile game, and we are SO close to the finish line. We have both reached the point where we just want to be done with it, but despite of that, we don't want to rush things either. There will be versions of the game for two resolutions; 240x320 and 176x208. The 240 version is nearly done, so at this moment, I'm preparing the graphics for the 176 version.
You can follow the progress on www.lublu.dk.

Because of work, and spare time mobile game development, there probably won't be any updates in my galleries until we're done with the game. But I'm sure that the game itself will make up for the dorment galleries.

Time really flies

3rd November 2008

Wow. It's been a while since last update. Sorry about that.
Here is a little update.
About two weeks ago I got a job, and is now working as a Multimedia Designer. I must admit I never expected to get a job this soon since I'm usually never this lucky.
Much of my spare time is currently spent on doing graphics for the 3rd title of Lublu Entertainment,
So this means that although I don't upload much on my site, It doesn't mean that I'm no longer creative – It's quite the opposite :-)

Fading Shades 98% done

25th June 2008

Yes it's true. I've resumed work on Fading Shades. You probably thought that would never happen huh ;-)

All graphics are now done, so at this moment I'm trying to get the sounds and music in place.

I can't wait to be done with it :-)

And then it was over...

18th June 2008

Two years have passed since I moved to Aalborg to study. I can't believe how fast they went by.

A few days ago, it was time for the final exam, which I passed, so now I can call myself Multimedia Designer. Not that I think of it as a greater glory or anything. But nevertheless, it's nice to be done with school.

This also means that until I find a job, I have all the time in the world to work on my projects. =)

Still busy..

1st June 2008

Here in Denmark, summertime came early this year. I couldn't welcome it more. Along with the brighter days and warmer weather, my desire to be creative automatically grows.

The last two months were spent on developing the final exam project. So there has been absolutely no time for creativity, which of course bothered me a lot, especially because of the weather being extremely fine. In a few weeks the final exam is up, and if I pass I am done with school.

I have a lot of projects lying about that I can't wait to pick up again, like my small adventure game: "Fading Shades" (which has been mentioned before, I know), which will get top priority.

I'm also working on a cartoon in Flash, but it will probably take me a long time to finish. So don't expect too much. I still need to figure out how to get them on display here anyway.

I plan to do a lot of studies of various things. But let's see how far I get. It's always easier to talk about it than to actually get it done =)

Busy busy busy...

16th March 2008

School work is yet again the reason to why I’m not uploading anything at the moment.
I’m currently working on the specialisation part of my education: Game development in ‘Macromedia Flash’. So I’ve spent a lot of time getting to know the application and the syntax used in ActionScript. At the same time I’m planning on making a small game in Flash, which I’m slowly developing as I get better and better.
To practice, I’ve also created a few stickmen cartoons, which I might put on display here :-P

I miss spring

4th February 2008

These last many weeks, it feels like my life has been put on pause.
I don’t have the energy or the desire to do anything.
Almost every day is dominated by this laziness and it drives me crazy.
The only thing I manage to get done is baking.
So that’s what I’ve been up to, baking; bread, muffins, cakes and all sorts of tasty treats. Something my boyfriend enjoys very much :-)
I know this is probably just a typical winter mood, but that doesn’t make it easier to cope with.

Time for drawing again

17th January 2008

The exams are finally over for now, and I managed to get through. I’m not really that good at exams, but grades are not that important to me either. Anyway this means that I can focus on drawing again now that this burden has been taken off.
I’m drawing mostly with pencils at the moment, trying to practise drawing humans from reference photos. Since it IS practise, I’m not sure how much of it I’ll put in the gallery. Only the ones I like best will end up there, so be patient :-)

Happy New Year everyone!

1st January 2008

2007 was not the most productive year for me, but hopefully that will change this year.
As mentioned before, I’ve been very busy with school and I’m currently preparing for the exams that will be held in a few days.
I have tons of unfinished works lying about that I hope to continue working on when I get the time.

Another crazy project

12th November 2007

This weekend I did something equally crazy. When I first started out drawing digitally many, many years ago I never kept track of all my drawings. When it was time to buy a new computer, I was too lazy to move my old files with it. Instead the drawings were copied onto backup discs and forgotten over time.
Since I’ve switched computer quite a few times over the years, I suddenly realized how a lot of my old drawings had gone “missing”.
My project this weekend was to find them all on every single backup disc I had lying about, and recollecting them on my computer, and at the same time getting rid of the doubles.
It was both fun and weird to see the “lost” drawings again. The best part though is to see how I have improved since I started out :-)

Crazy project

9th November 2007

I did something crazy today. Something I would never even consider doing simply because it is so time consuming, and I’m usually a bit too lazy.

The thing is; I have a lot of drawings. Until today, they were all in a monstrous pile, stuffed into a ring binder much too small to contain them.
The pile contains drawings that are more than 10 years old, as well as newer drawings all the way up to today. It’s mostly doodles done in school, but also drawings that have been worked on a bit more.

Now they’re all organised! - Or as close as. Since I rarely signed my drawings back then, I had no chance of putting them in the correct order. Over the years they had been shuffled together and mixed up quite good.

Smaller drawings and doodles have been cut out and pasted on a fresh piece of paper, along with others of the same kind. I think it looks cool. And the best part is that now it is possible to view my drawings without having to take them out of the ring binder one by one.
